you will be part of the professional voice critical to providing feedback to the Washington State Department of Licensing and to shaping and influencing both current and future laws and policies regarding the security industry within the State of Washington.

Here is an outline of our membership eligibility and options*.
1.ACTIVE/PRINCIPAL MEMBERSHIP: The Active Membership is made up of companies or organizations actively engaged in the business of providing contract security. To be eligible for active membership, the company must possess an active Washington State security company license with the Department of Licensing.
Each company or organization with a current active membership shall be entitled to unlimited representatives of the active member registered with the Council and provide full contact information.
Where a company or organization has two or more representative members, only one shall be designated as a voting representative for the company. All representative members form a company or organization shall have the opportunity to speak at all Council meetings.
2.AFFILIATE MEMBERSHIP: Affiliate membership is made up of a companies or organizations or designated employee of a company of organization that engages in the business of security service, individuals that provide contract consulting service in the security industry, and companies or organizations, or individuals whose primary function is to provide security or private investigative training services. Affiliate members may vote and serve on the Board of Directors, but may not hold the office of President or Vice President.
3.HONORARY MEMBERSHIP: The Honorary Membership is made up of individuals employed by any public law enforcement or similar type agency. The Board of Directors, by two-thirds affirmative vote, may bestow an honorary membership upon these persons or organizations, which, in the opinion of the Board have provided past services rendered to the organization or for any other specific reason. The provision is that the individual does not qualify to be an active member. Honorary members shall have a voice and the right to all the privileges of active membership, with the exception of the right to vote, hold office, or hold a position on the Board of Directors. The honorary membership is exempt from the payment of dues. The Board and full Council reserves the right to designate certain meetings as being closed to honorary members.
